Jujube Ber is a tropical/subtropical plant, but is related to the more common Chinese jujube, which grows in colder temperatures.
History
Jujube has been cultivated in China for more than 4000 years. Nowadays though, Jujube Ber is predominantly grown in India. It's thought that Ber was used as a food source in India as early as the 11th century.
Regions
Jujube is distributed in at least 48 countries on all continents except Antarctica. China is the leading country in terms of production while significant amounts are produced in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Australia.
Flavours & Texture
Jujube Ber combines subtle sweetness and tanginess. Its taste can be likened to a mix of apple, pear, and honey. The fruit's texture is beautifully crisp, but also slightly chewy. It offers a refreshing hit of juciness.
Preparation
Jujube can be eaten out of hand as a snack but you can also cook it. You can use it in fruit salads, make juice, or in your smoothies.

All orders are packed in cardboard boxes with a biodegradable packing pellets to protect the fruit during transit, unfortunately we do not offer a gift wrapping or send the fruit in a gift basket as this may cause toe bruise during transit..
