The Arance Rosse Blood Orange originated in Sicily, Italy. It is believed that the unique crimson hue of its flesh is the result of a natural mutation that occurred in the orange groves of the Mediterranean region. Throughout history, the Blood Orange has been celebrated for its vibrant colour and sweet citrus flavour.

In addition to Italy, regions such as Spain, California, and Greece now also cultivate Blood Oranges.
