Introduction

Experience the essence of Bella Bella Satsuma, a citrus sensation that combines history, flavour, and nutritional goodness. Indulge in the luscious sweetness of this exquisite fruit, brought to you from orchards where tradition meets modern cultivation practices.

History

Bella Bella Satsuma traces its origins to Japan. This delightful fruit is a cultivar of the Satsuma mandarin orange, celebrated for its sweet flavour and easy-to-peel nature. The Satsuma mandarin itself has a storied past, believed to have been introduced to the West in the 19th century. The Bella Bella Satsuma is a testament to the ongoing cultivation and refinement of this beloved citrus variety.

Regions

Originally hailing from the Kagoshima Prefecture in Japan, the Bella Bella Satsuma has found its way to various regions with suitable climates for citrus cultivation. Today, you can experience the joy of Bella Bella Satsuma in orchards across California, Florida, and other subtropical regions. The careful cultivation practices in these areas ensure the fruit reaches its peak flavor and quality.

Flavours & Texture

Bite into a Bella Bella Satsuma, and you'll be greeted by a burst of sweetness with subtle tart undertones. Its tender, seedless segments practically melt in your mouth, offering a juicy and refreshing experience. The easy-to-peel skin makes it a convenient and snackable delight, perfect for those on the go.

Preparation

Begin by gently peeling away the skin, revealing the succulent segments. Enjoy them as a standalone snack, or incorporate them into salads, desserts, or even as a flavourful topping for yogurt or ice cream.
