Introduction

The Grape Pomelo is a delightful hybrid of grapefruit and pomelo.

History

The Grape Pomelo originated in China. This unique fruit is a testament to nature's ingenuity, blending the tartness of grapefruit with the sweetness of pomelo. While specific historical records may be scarce, the cultivation of both grapefruits and pomelos dates back centuries, with mentions in ancient Chinese texts and folklore.

Regions

The Grape Pomelo originated in Southeast Asia, particularly in countries like Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia. Today, it is cultivated in various parts of the world, including regions in Florida, California, and other subtropical areas.

Flavours & Texture

The Grape Pomelo offers a fusion of flavours, combining the tangy essence of grapefruit with the mild sweetness of pomelo. Its distinctive taste strikes a harmonious balance between acidity and sweetness. The flesh of the Grape Pomelo is juicy and succulent, with a tender texture that melts in the mouth.

Preparation

Using a sharp knife, slice off the top and bottom of the Grape Pomelo, then score the peel vertically to divide it into manageable sections. Peel away the thick outer rind to reveal the segments.
