Regions
The Honeyglow Pineapple, a variant of the traditional pineapple, originated in the tropical regions of South America, particularly in countries like Brazil and Paraguay where the pineapple was first discovered. Today, Honeyglow Pineapples are cultivated in several tropical regions around the world, including parts of Central America, Southeast Asia, and Hawaii.
History
Pineapples were first brought to Europe by Christopher Columbus in the 15th century, where they became a symbol of luxury and hospitality. The Honeyglow variety, known for its enhanced sweetness and vibrant golden colour, has been selectively bred in recent years to meet consumer demand for a superior pineapple experience.
Flavour & Texture
The Honeyglow Pineapple is renowned for its exceptional sweetness and aromatic profile. It has a rich, honey-like flavour that sets it apart from other pineapple varieties. The flesh is juicy and tender, with a texture that is both firm and succulent. Its vibrant golden-yellow colour and intense sweetness make it a favourite choice for fresh consumption, as well as a versatile ingredient in sweet and savoury dishes.
