Introduction
This fruit really does taste as good as it looks, mixing the usual creamy taste of custard apple with a berry undertone. It looks unreal, it tastes unreal but let us assure you, it very much is real and in the UK.
Regions
The Red Custard Apple is known to be cultivated in Florida, Columbia, Ecuador and Thailand it isn't currently available on any commercial scale but thanks to us is now available in the UK.
Flavours & Texture
Custard apple has a sweet creamy banana taste with a hint of mango and berries. Best enjoyed once it feels soft to touch.
Preparation
We recommend storing them away from bananas preferably in the refrigerator. Cut it in half, scoop out the flesh and discard the seeds. You can eat it raw, in a fruit salad, smoothies, milkshakes, and ice creams.
