Jujube is a tropical fruit tree species which produces a variety of fruits called Jujubes. Jujube Ber - which also may be known as the Indian Jujube - is a captivating exotic fruit. Bursting with a delightful balance of sweetness and a hint of tartness, Jujube Ber is a true treasure from nature's garden.
Jujube Ber is a tropical/subtropical plant, but is related to the more common Chinese jujube, which grows in colder temperatures.
Jujube has been cultivated in China for more than 4000 years. Nowadays though, Jujube Ber is predominantly grown in India. It's thought that Ber was used as a food source in India as early as the 11th century.
Jujube is distributed in at least 48 countries on all continents except Antarctica. China is the leading country in terms of production while significant amounts are produced in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Australia.
Flavours & Texture

Jujube can be eaten out of hand as a snack but you can also cook it. You can use it in fruit salads, make juice, or in your smoothies.
